AGS still at its best at 20! Amazing Grace School on its 20th anniversary staged a spectacular production held at AGS’ Gymnasium last December 17, 2009. The show had a matinee (4:00 pm) and an evening show at 7:00 pm.

The success of AGS @ 20 was the result of six months of planning and preparations: from conceptualization to actual implementation—starting from the auditions to the final presentation. The AGS’ administration hired Dr. Encina as director of AGS @ 20 in celebration of God’s faithfulness to this institution. Behind Director Dave Encina were capable staff and teachers who auditioned students from the high school and elementary departments in the areas of dancing, singing, and for the search of the Masters of Ceremony. This was done through series of auditions held at AGS’ Auditorium headed by Mr. Christopher Dacer and Ms. Niña Ison. AGS community helped and worked as a team. This spectacular production was headed Mr. Dacer and Ms. Ison as the Assistant Directors; Mr. Jerwin Aying, Mr. George Haucian, Mr. Roel Virgil De Dios and Mr. Ryan Bautista as the Stage Managers followed by the Technical Team headed by Mr. Jason Jaso and the Sound System, Mr. Romy Dela Cruz. The Physical Arrangement, Costume, Props, and Make-Up, Refreshments and the Documentations and Souvenirs were ably headed by a group of staff and teachers who untiringly labored for the success of AGS @ 20. Ms. Glenda Abaigar, our good natured school nurse took action at the first aid station.

An almost endless of preparations, practices and dress rehearsals occupied the time of the AGS Team. The most awaited time came for the staging of AGS @ 20. The administrators, faculty, and guests were one in excitement for this event. Tickets were collected and guests were ushered by the beautiful usherettes and handsome ushers ably trained by the winsome Mrs. Carmina Cayangyang, whereas, the ever beauteous Ms. Lorie Dela Cruz headed a group of charming hosts at the gate. The show was a display of God’s splendor and faithfulness in living colors through songs, dances and interpretation of movements. The show was hosted by Rizza Guia Villardo and Paul Matthew Tañagras. After which, Pastor Leleng Ilmedo gave his message of gratitude to the Lord and shared God’s faithfulness to AGS for 20 years.

Indeed! Everyone were not just entertained, they were ministered unto and blessed by the show. Truly, Amazing Grace School continues to nurture students with productiveness of character and heart in union with the Lord. May God bless all the more this institution for another 20 years of his enduring faithfulness! <S>
