AGS'S 20th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

           Amazing Grace School had finally reached its 20 years of service. In lieu of this 20th anniversary, a week celebration took place full of surprises and excitement. A variety of shows and programs were headed by Ms. Tin Aguilar. Last December 14-16, 2009, a 3-day booth activities headed by 4th year and 3rd year students, together with the Student Council officers and Sped Department engaged the school community. Every booth was represented by each section, different gimmicks were prepared and lots of prizes were given away. Everyone was free to come and be served.
To make this celebration complete, different activities and shows were prepared. Educational activities were represented by each subject like Geometry World and Science Inventory conducted by Mrs. Cayangyang and Ms. Ison and by Ms. Nunez and Mr. Gendrano respectively. Exposures to different approaches of these subjects were done through a series of analyzations and experiments. In Geometry World, trivias and techniques were presented. On the other hand, different instruments and series of experiments were done at the Science Inventory. Both activities occupied two rooms, each room with 25 students limit per level, following a set of time frames per level. It was open for Grades 4-6 and all High school students.
There were also activities that exhibit student’s creativity and wide usage of imagination like Bookmark Making, Beads and Salad Making, and Arts Workshop headed by the following teachers: Ms. Villanueva and Mr. Guerra, Mrs. Taglorin and Ms. Nuguit, Mr. Haucian and Mr. Bautista, respectively. These workshops were open to Grades 2-6.
 
It was not only about educating and enhancing students’ abilities but also giving joy and leisure to the audience. There were shows like “Pantomime: The Creation” and the “Puppet Show” performed by selected High school students. It exhibited God’s works in the world shown through the use of hand mimes. These were headed by Ms. Calub and a group of High school teachers. For the puppet show, Ms. Montiano and Ms. Lacay headed the said performances with the participation of selected 2nd Year to 4th Year students who gave life to puppets in story lines. The students who watched the show were treated to an entertaining and relaxing activity.
 
 Students of Amazing Grace School took a glimpse of Biblical History of various characters. Selected high school students gave life to different well-known Bible characters with their famous lines to distinguish one from another.
 
                It was a fun-filled experience that ever happened in AGS history. Truly, God was glorified with these spectacular activities. To God be the glory! <S>
