A humble but well-founded beginning! That was how Amazing Grace School emerged. Prior to 1989, a couple of individuals conceived a school; one that will both assist in bringing up pupils according to the biblical teachings of Christ and develop productive Christian achievers who will serve the Lord and society.
The first sixty five (65) enrollees in 1989 were housed at 87 Mabini St., San Pedro, Laguna. These were the Nursery, Kinder and Prep pupils. The following year witnessed an increase in population as the Annex was opened in a more conducive and suitable learning environment in San Vicente St., San Pedro, Laguna. The Annex became a second home to about 255 pupils of grades 1 and 2 of the elementary department. This rise in student population was perceived to be indicative of the public's increasing trust in AGS community. True enough, by 1993-1994, the complete elementary department became fully operational.
Though becoming a success, Amazing Grace School never rested in its quest for improvement and quality education for the students. By School Year 1993-1994, the Department of Education, Culture and Sports awarded the Elementary Department the certificate of recognition and the High School Department with the permit to operate.
With these recognition status, AGS became more inspired to serve the students in varied ways. Initially, it offers curricular designs; one is the Program for High Academic Ability Students and another is the Program for Students with Special Needs.
Today, Amazing Grace stands tall and proud, yet still humble in spirit, with its Dep-Ed registered level as a Christian school. It boasts of its increasing population both in the regular classes and classes for students with special needs.
